Test Results

It is important that the results of any tests done are followed up.

Results of tests are reviewed daily by the clinical team. Follow ups required are noted in the patients chart. We ask patients to contact the surgery, by telephone, between 3pm and 5pm Monday to Friday, 7-10 days after bloods tests were performed. The results and the clinical teams comments/recommendations will be relayed to you by our administrative staff. 

If the doctor has advised a return appointment to review results then phoning the surgery to check the results are available beforehand is recommended.

We will try to avoid bringing you back unnecessarily, but if you are asked to come back for review it is because your GP has decided that this is the most appropriate course of action.

We can give you a copy of your results if you require it, but only after your GP has reviewed the results.

Imaging results ( x-ray, Ultrasound and MRI results), but only those ordered by our GPs, are available in the same manner.

Please note that results of tests order by consultants do not routinely come back to the surgery.
